What Should you do After a Loss

1.       Immediately take any necessary steps to protect the property from further damage or liability. This includes:

Boarding up any exposed openings such as windows, doors, and the roof. If the condition of the property is too severe to board up you should make arrangements for temporary fencing. This will help prevent the possibility of theft, vandalism, and injury to unauthorized persons entering the property. Remember only temporary emergency services should be performed. The property should remain in its current condition. Your insurance company will want to inspect the property. You should not make any repairs or clean up until both you and your insurance company has had the opportunity to complete a thorough inspection. It is critical to photograph and document all of the evidence. DO NOT THROW ANYTHING AWAY!

2.       Call United Claims Adjusting Company, your personal representative.
